The Testament

For those that like a good mystery along with some really historically correct inserted into the storyline this would be a good book to really look into reading. Written by Eric Van Lustbader, whose most famous book to date I would guess to be “The Bourne Legacy”, this is a fast moving novel full of all sorts of twists and turns. For those that are into the many recent novels that have been written about the many ‘lost books’ from scripture – another book to add if only for that reason.

I can’t stress enough how factual many of the points are within the book. Be it from locations, the different factions of religious groups that are suppose to be still at ‘war’ with each other – how he entwines them as being part of the story that he is telling is really a joy to read. These are the points that drew me further within the storyline and actually doing some double checking of points made from online and other book sources – it got me so sucked into the book.

History buffs will love it because of the many obscure points that it brings out. Those that are into real locations being brought up will love how he brings small subtle comments about those places that are true into his storyline.

A book that I found hard to put down, really hated to see it end. It forces one to really consider what is ‘good’ and ‘evil’ vs. looking at the overall of life as a whole. At 477 pages, I found that I finished the book in 2 days – and that is with me staying up late to keep reading till my eyes refused to read any more. Great read.
